1995: Gingrich Gave $40 Billion To Mexico

Sometimes it’s fun to go back in the time machine to watch the effective leadership of current Presidential candidates. From this clip in 1995, House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R) worked with President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore to help bailout Mexico. Gingrich did this despite the outcry of many fellow Republicans and conservatives. In this clip, you will first see those who come out against the bailout (including California Congressman Duncan Hunter), followed by Gingrich, who explains why it was important to give $40 billion in taxpayer money to Mexico.
